Kananaskis 'village' effectively consists of this sprawling lodge and its outbuildings, which include several restaurants and the popular new Kananaskis Nordic Spa. Completely renovated after its purchase by Marriott in 2017, the lodge first garnered international fame in 2008 when it hosted the G8 summit (with Bush, Putin and Blair), an event that helped put K-Country on the map.

The lodge's comfortable digs sit on the cusp of some truly amazing countryside; well-marked trails fan out directly from the complex. Staff are highly professional.
